We’re engaged!

For those of you who do not know the story:

I came up to Purdue to visit Nick, as I usually do in the summer, but this visit was far from usual! He made reservations and gave me instructions to get dressed up and be ready by a certain time. I was hoping this might be “it” but I also remembered him saying how we’d go on a few of these outings to make sure he surprised me. (A friend and I picked apart his conversation with me, trying to figure him out but to no avail!) So that Saturday night I was running a little late getting ready and he was pushing for us to leave. So after multiple comments from him, I told him to just hang on, I had to put my jewelry on and I’d be ready. As he followed me towards the door he tells me we can’t go just yet. I snapped around a little irritated (He’d been after me about being late after all!) and there he was, on one knee opening a little box to reveal the most beautiful ring I had ever seen. He said, “You aren’t done putting on your jewelry yet.” How romantic! I said yes, of course, and we enjoyed a wonderful, celebratory meal at McGraw’s, after we spent an hour making phone calls and text messages of course
